Harken Coffee Wholebean Single Origin

Harken Coffee is a roaster of specialty coffee for the connoisseur and beginner alike, born out of the idea there was something missing in coffee. A sense of elegance. Romance. But more than anything else, thoughtful experiences. Harken stands for coffee that is grown with care by farmers who are supported both financially and creatively. The goal is to provide you with lovely coffee that you can enjoy simply for what it is, letting the product speak for itself. Roasted in Vancouver, BC.

Note: Contrary to most coffee myths, it’s best not to use coffee that is too fresh. For espresso, Harken recommends using coffee between three days to four weeks old, while with filter and drip coffee, it’s best if the beans are three weeks to twelve weeks from the date of roasting.

200g

Layo Teraga, Ethiopia / A truly stellar coffee, with elegant black tea notes, as well as a peach sweetness and an underlying purple grape candy flavour. Would suit as a really pleasant espresso, and shines as a filter coffee.

Kochere, Ethiopia / The combination of sweetness with clarity, elegance and complexity makes this a really great coffee. It conjures up images of strawberry, grape bubblegum and black tea. Great as either a fruity espresso or a filter coffee.

Luz Dary, Colombia / Complex and well rounded. Reminiscent of black tea, chocolate, cherries and sweet spices. Part of Harken’s Wish Foundation Series, a project created by their Head Roaster to recognise and help deal with inequalities that women face at both ends of the coffee supply chain.
